Who are we and where are we?
We are: (ladies first of course!)
Maria Hubert von Staufer, (director of research) was born in Yorkshire of titled Italian & Irish stock in 1945. She is a regular broadcaster, writer, historian, and mother of three grown children. She is fluent in Spanish, comfortable in Catalan with a working knowledge of a few ancient languages. She is musical, focussed, and has a background in theology. Her talents are crowned by being a Paris Cordon trained Cordon Bleu chef.
Andrew Hubert von Staufer, (director of photography) was born of an ancient & noble European family in Sussex 1947. Like Maria he is a broadcaster and writer, but is currently studying environmental issues with a view towards his PhD. A one time ski instructor and meteorologist who spent a great deal of his working life in aviation, he is reasonably fluent in French & German, and tries his hand at any other European language he encounters.
The Children, cover all those talents that the parents do not enjoy. They occasionally assist their parents when the occasion demands; covering between them fluency in Japanese, Russian, Turkish, Korean, and self taught Arabic! The disciplines of cinematography, musical composition, design, scriptwriting and ethnology are all within their remit.
We all are capable of working to a deadline, whether it is for media research, writing, presenting, investigating or photography. You won't know what we can do for you until you ask!
We Live in:
